January always seems long, but we’re actually heading into the last week now.
It’s so much colder than it was at Christmas (still hoping for snow) so I’m stocking up the pantry just in case. (I jest, I needed to stock up after Christmas…we’re lucky if we get one day of snow here!)
Nothing to do with what I’m gonna say, but I’m also really missing my Christmas Jumper! It was a new one this year (well last year technically) and I love it…but I genuinely miss it for the warmth/comfort factor. I have several jumpers, sweatshirts and cardigans (most of which I tried on yesterday…like I said, it was cold) and none are as soft or as thick as my Christmas one. 😦 Anyhoo… moan over, let’s get onto the main point.
If you have any money available- which may be tricky if you got paid early in December- spend it wisely. There are still sales to be had and Christmas bargains to pick up. There are also new lines and fresh stock to consider.
Our daughter’s birthday is a mere 2 weeks away! When she was little, I used to hit the January sales in Argos, Tesco and Woolworth’s (shows how old my baby’s getting!). It’s a great time to buy toys. Now though, she wants money or vouchers…but I have still picked up one little bargain and something that was new stock this week, just so she has something to open.
So stock up if you can, plan what you’re going to do when you do (eventually) get paid and keep an eye out for end-of-sale bargains and new stock!
