My quiet day has turned a bit nuts! We have a wedding reception to go to this evening (very exciting 🙂 ), a poorly pup to treat (nothing serious just tablets and skin treatment), regular jobs to do (hoovering, washing uniforms etc.) and several small DIY and paperwork jobs.
Happy to do all of this, that’s what Saturdays are for, but woke up with a sore throat and blocked nose. I could sit on the sofa and moan and excuse myself from jobs but I’m trying not to do that.
Mr.B and I have been trying to follow the biblical advice to “stay away from arguing and complaining” (ourselves and when others do it) keeping up the PMA seems to work and science backs this up too: Many a medical paper suggests people with a positive attitude will recover quicker, or possibly be less likely to be unwell in the first place… ‘prevention is better than cure’ and all that.
So I’ve taken vitamins, upped my fluid intake and made the conscious decision to get on with it. I’m doing fine, I don’t feel so bunged up and I’m working my way down that to-do list!
