This has come up a few times in the last week, so maybe God is trying to tell us something!
Love the one in front is an excellent rule to live by because it covers so many things.
You can give gifts and practical help, pray for someone or just be nice! These are all covered by the attitude of love.
Help the ones you can… like the starfish story.
Love is shown in lots of different ways and the offer of practical assistance will often be welcomed like an old friend. So if you can help someone, please do.
If somebody is not ‘in front’ of you in your daily lives then call them (or if you’re my daughter’s age, Direct Message them). If you can’t contact them, then pray for them…they’re in front of someone God can use to help them.
Be nice. The Word tells us to be salt and light in the world, people need God’s love and each other’s love to thrive. Build up, don’t tear down.
As a side note, this does not mean you become an agreeable doormat. Nobody should guilt-trip you into it. You can say no kindly. The Bible says God loves a joyful giver. Also, it talks about love including correction; you can be firm and still be a loving person.
So just try to be light today and see how you can bless others, you will feel so thankful at the end of the day!
Have a good one my lovelies,
