OK, let’s go!
Firstly, the animated film “Sing” is sooooo much better than I thought it would be (especially as I’m not in to all the TV talent show blah) and there are some major actors doing these awesome voices we had no idea they could do! One of the main characters is a stay-at-home-mum (a pig with 25 piglets!) who lacks confidence to sing, but when she does, she’s one of the best (can dance too)!
So watching that yesterday got me thinking…. I do not sing or dance very well, but I do enjoy them. I’ve had kind of a stressful week, nothing major just lots of different niggles, but one thing I’m glad happened this week is that I joined aquafit classes at our local pool (attempting to lose weight before summer hols). The music is awesome, mostly 70s and 80s pop with a clubby backing track to make us move faster.
Fast forward to this afternoon, head overloaded and more work and chores to do than usual, but I smile now because “girls just wanna have fun” and “Take A Chance On Me” are still swimming around my head!
Music (however badly you sing it…. or mime along in the pool) is a great motivator, so I encourage you all to put on some cheesy pop and ramp up the pace of whatever needs doing!
Also, let me know in the comments what motivates you, I’d love some inspiration for the next one of those days!
Have a great weekend everyone!
